EINFLUX — managed data platform for industrial environments

Standardized data acquisition and diagnostics service from OT to IT with central MQTT architecture, operations, and long-term support.

Challenge

Industrial data acquisition: where projects often slow down

In industrial environments, strict cybersecurity requirements and heterogeneous data sources quickly lead to complex integrations that are difficult to maintain.

  • Many implementations fail at the network level because of security and approval requirements.
  • Different machines and sensors require multiple protocols and increase integration complexity.
  • Local scripts, individual workarounds, and ad hoc connections increase operational risk.

Solution

EINFLUX: a standardized path from OT to IT

Our platform creates a structured, documentable architecture where heterogeneous sources are combined into a unified, enterprise-ready data flow.

  • Cleanly documentable network architecture with clear data paths and responsibilities.
  • Integration of many sensor and machine types into a shared data model with controlled protocol diversity.
  • Enterprise-standard operation with central data management, scalable expansion, and auditable traceability.
  • Versatile visualization, trend analysis, and rule configuration for faster deviation detection.

Result: less integration chaos, faster root cause analysis, and a robust data platform that remains viable over the long term.

Clear network architecture

With segmented OT/IT architecture, central data acquisition, and standardized MQTT handover, we create safer, more scalable operations that are faster to diagnose.

Technology core

The technological core of EINFLUX

Stable data streams, fast visualization, and continuous analytical evaluation in an integrated industrial stack.

Grafana as visualization platform

Grafana as visualization platform

Role-based dashboards make asset conditions, alarms, and trends transparent in real time. Benefit: one of the largest open-source visualization platforms with many configurable data sources.

InfluxDB for optimal data storage

InfluxDB for optimal data storage

A time-series database designed for high-frequency industrial measurement values and reliable, continuous data acquisition. Benefit: technically efficient data compression and very fast time-series queries even with high data volumes.

Einflux

Our own software checks, evaluates, and trends incoming data so raw signals become concrete actionable insights. Benefit: earlier deviation detection and more targeted measures.

Key application areas

Machine condition monitoring

Continuous condition monitoring of critical assets so faults and performance losses become visible early.

Consumption data monitoring

Real-time monitoring of energy and resource data with comparable time series and trends.

Anomaly detection

Identification of deviation patterns in machine behavior and consumption before faults escalate.

Production data visualization

Production KPIs, cycle times, and downtime on clear dashboards for different roles.

Why does EINFLUX work in enterprise environments?

  • 1Managed service model: we do not only implement the system, we actively operate and maintain it.
  • 2On-premise focus: cloud and on-prem are both possible, with an emphasis on on-prem in industrial environments.
  • 3No vendor lock-in: full access to components and APIs.
  • 4Standardized, documented, and scalable architecture - from pilot to enterprise-wide rollout.

EINFLUX

Central data platform for the entire production environment

EINFLUX does not only collect data; it provides an operable, diagnosable, and long-term maintainable foundation for digital transformation.

The goal is a reliable data foundation for maintenance managers, production managers, and transformation leaders.

OT → IT

OT-to-IT architecture: standardization as the core objective

On the OT side, we work with different protocols (e.g. Modbus, OPC UA, Siemens S7, IoT devices). On the IT side, data is already provided as standardized MQTT messages.

This eliminates large parts of distributed local databases, CSV exports, scripts, and FTP routes - while also enabling simpler and safer firewall configuration.

EINFLUX

Business impact and return potential

Operational data becomes decision-relevant information faster, reducing response times and operational risks.

+

Significantly reduced troubleshooting (typically up to 30-50%)

+

Real-time anomaly detection with faster response

+

Enterprise scalability on a central platform

+

Multiple use of collected data (maintenance, production, energy)

Anomaly in real plant operation

In the tile view of identical hydraulic aggregates, it immediately becomes visible when the contact temperature of one aggregate differs significantly from the others.

Result

Without the Starter Kit, this anomaly would have remained undetected until failure. With the system, the customer received a clear picture just a few days after commissioning of which unit had to be checked immediately - avoiding costly, unplanned downtime.
